Shannon is passionate about the role of sports in kids' lives. She believes that lessons learned on the fields, working with teammates and coaches, shape people in a unique way, and help to build important foundations for later success. Shannon is excited to bring her college advising methodology to RECRUITINGTRAK. Her approach has helped her clients to achieve much success, with over 80% accepted to their first choice college, and over 95% accepted to one of their top three college choices. Shannon is dedicated to helping others to achieve their goal of competing as college athletes, as athletics was a defining part of her college experience.

BIOGRAPHY
Shannon is a college admissions guru. She attended Yale for both college and business school, and also worked as a reader for Yale's Office of Undergraduate Admissions, gaining valuable perspective on the admissions process. Since starting her college advising firm Collegiate Compass (www.collegiatecompass.com) five years ago, Shannon has helped students from across the U.S. and around the world to navigate the college admissions process. Shannon has done presentations on the topic of college admissions for numerous groups including the Penn Alumni Association of NYC, Yale's Summer Rowing Programs, and 85 Broads, a global women's network. In high school, Shannon was an All-American swimmer and attended select camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. After choosing to focus on running in college, she earned nine varsity letters at Yale (in cross-country, indoor and outdoor track), All-East Coast Conference honors, and was captain of the Yale Women's Cross-Country Team. She remains an avid runner and finished in the top 35 American women in the 2005 NYC Marathon.
