FAQs

What is the recruitingtrak?
It is an unparalleled hub of resources and a streamlined online solution to help guide you through the recruiting process. It's the how/who/what/when/where that puts the POWER OF INFORMATION in your hands.

How will it help me?
RECRUITINGTRAK provides a HUGE amount of online content, a private profile you update yourself and email + text messages nudging you to get the right stuff done when it needs to be DONE. It will help you as much as you use it.

What kind of content?
RTRAK content includes both admissions and recruiting content from three top professionals. An enormous amount of content is divided into three main sections: TEMPLATES, the VAULT, and the RESOURCE BIN. The TEMPLATES section includes both templates and how-to manuals that accompany them. In the VAULT, there are always over 30 separate downloadable documents organized by category. The RESOURCE BIN is all great OUTSIDE MATERIAL we think is important for you to consider.

What is included in my online profile?
Your online profile is a quick summary of your important information to keep you on track split into three categories: ACADEMIC INFO, COLLEGE LIST, TO DO LIST. Your profile is maintained by YOU, but we control which parts of it will pop up on your screen at certain points in time (we might have your TOP 5 pop up when we want you to specifically focus on communicating with those coaches or your SAT scores before the next scheduled test).

Who can see my profile?
Only you have access to your account. No college coach can see your information. Your online profile ONLY exists to make sure YOU are able to identify your vital stats, know your college list intimately and get things accomplished. It is your responsibility to keep your login and password secure.

How do I know what to do when?
First, you’ll have access to THE CALENDAR, which includes important dates from both the admissions and recruiting processes. Additionally, we contact you in two ways: EMAIL + TEXT. We will email you time-sensitive information, giving you reminders of when you should focus on and/or complete certain tasks. Also, you will get TEXT messages alerting you of important rules and dates to note (test registration dates, dead/quiet periods, etc). No contact will be superfluous and you indicate what email addresses and cell phones will receive messaging. Should you not want to get emails and text messages, you can view all necessary information on the website.

Who are recruitingtrak members?
RTRAKers or members are girls + their parents who want EXPERT STRATEGY and GUIDANCE throughout the college admissions and recruiting processes. They realize the significance of decisions about college and don’t cut corners when it comes to their future.

What if my high school and club coaches already provide me with information?
It’s up to you whether or not you feel that the information to which you have access is sufficient. The information on this website is unparalleled, and the three women who created it are proven professionals in their respective fields, working deep in the lacrosse and college admissions industries. Our advice: If you are hungry for more information than is already available to you, this is a great investment.

What if my high school or club coaches tell me something different than the recruitingtrak?
This is a big process, so you have to decide how you want to tackle it. This website exists to be a resource, and there are so many different ways you can use it. Our goals are to help you organize yourself, figure out what you want, and give you access to a process that has worked for hundreds of our players and students so far. We are not here to say it’s this way or no way. We want you to find YOUR way and by giving you three viewpoints in our areas of expertise (Crista: curriculum-motivation, Shannon: admissions, Michele: rules), you can begin to find your OWN voice. We are just here to guide you!

So, I’m just paying for information?
Yes—top-notch information. But remember that you are INVESTING IN YOUR FUTURE in a huge way. Girls will learn how to navigate the recruiting process while thoroughly vetting college options, all the while learning how to operate as a professional. After years of testing recruitingtrak, we have seen students develop critical life skills and coping mechanisms. Our members develop the ability to start with endless number of options, identify who they are and what they want, research to isolate best options and make sound decisions that will serve them now and as they grow.

What is the value of membership?
The years of experience that have led to the adaptation of content for this website make it INVALUABLE. Mostly, the value rests in how much each member uses the resources available – templates, tips, information. We have integrated the recruiting process with the admissions process so that regardless of what happens with lacrosse, every girl will be encouraged to make the best possible decision because she considers THE BIG PICTURE. The website is valuable even if you do not play lacrosse.

Is there additional value to this membership other than what you've listed right above this question?
Yes, we just wanted more space to tell you more about how this website will affect your future! In college and beyond, you may begin graduate school applications or the job search. Parents repeatedly tell us that the LIFE SKILLS that we teach students follow them and help them to succeed for years.

Why does the membership year run from January to December?
We structure the membership this way because we believe that January of sophomore year is a critical time to start thinking about the college admissions and recruiting processes; therefore annual memberships that begin at this critical juncture work on January-December basis.

Can I pro-rate my membership based on when I sign up?
No. The information is all still here. Although we rotate content throughout the season, the core remains the same, and you will be continually accessing it.

What if I want to cancel my membership?
Once you get access to the information, there are no refunds.

What if I want individualized help?
